In the case of the Woodcrest sign, since we had to roll the top (background) color on after engraving, we had to Flat Engrave the sign. If we had 3-D Engraved it, the paint would have wanted to run down the edges of the letters and it would have been a nightmare to clean up the detail.
In the case of the "Employees" plaque, The customer just wanted the Flat Engraved look.
