Guitar-Shaped Shot-Glass Holders This was a very interesting challenge!  We did a bunch of these for a well-known hotel/casino chain that has a rock music theme.  They actually used the shot-glasses to hold miniature desserts!  (At least, that's what I was told.) The challenge came because the main deck that the shot-glasses pass through is angled up and at the same time the shot-glasses themselves are tapered.  The result is that the holes are not only different sizes, but they are not round or even ovals.  They are sort of an egg-shape.  There is a name for this shape (produced when a plane cuts through a cone at an angle) but I can't think of it right now.  Maybe some of you can e-mail me the name! Another challenge was that we had to machine both sides of the aluminum.  We engraved the company's logo into the top deck and gave each one a custom abraded finish.  We did this job for: Irish Hospitality Marilyn Irish   *   Altamonte Springs, FL   *   IHAInc@cfl.rr.com
