Nobody does a better job of routing aluminum than Letra-Tek. We can cut aluminum sheets from .020" thick up to 3/4" plate.
Surface Finish
We can ship you the raw aluminum letters unfinished, ready for you to paint -or-
We can have them Powder-Coated -or-
We can Anodize the letters for you. Anodize colors include three different gold (brass) tones, clear, black, red, blue, violet, green and others!
Advantages
1) Durability: Aluminum will obviously outlast plastic letters.
2) Aluminum can be Anodized or Powder-Coated; plastics cannot.
3) Price: It's true that aluminum prices have gone up dramatically since 2006, however oil prices have gone up even more. The result has been a big increase in plastics prices. The result of all this is that 1/4"-thick 5052 Aluminum is still a good deal and it is often the best material for the job.
Disadvantages
1) Price: The material cost for aluminum plate goes up dramatically once you get to 3/8" thick and above.
Stud Mounting
We use the computer to drill the blind stud holes in your letters, then we use the same computer to draw your installation pattern. The result is an extremely accurate pattern that you can place confidence in. Your installation will be a snap.
