The Oaks

This was a simple Combo-Engraved Strato-Tek sign that was made special with the addition of a beautiful frame.

Usually, sign shops tend to get the chills when they have to deal with Homeowners Associations.  It seems like there are always a few individuals who try to insist on their way and the result is that what should be a relatively simple decision becomes a big issue, if not a full-blown 30-Years'-War.  Quite often, someone on the association has a nephew who's a "talented artist" and can no doubt do a better job of designing the sign than anyone else - including the poor sign man.

But in this case, things turned out very well.  Someone in the neighborhood wanted to make the frame and install the sign.  Our customer and I held our breath but were pleasantly surprised.  Down below is a close-up of the iron work showing the forged steel scrolls and leaves.
