We actually did this one for ourselves. This is one of those that you can't really appreciate from a photo. The image is almost 3-D. The basic design was from a regular job we did for our good customer in Miami. The design came from their customer and had various abstract colored shapes where the country scene is. The main panel is 1/2"-thick Black Acrylic that has been 3-D Engraved around the outer edge and behind the lettering. The engraved areas were painted a burnt red color. There is another layer of 1/8"-thick Black Acrylic behind that panel. The frame and the letters were 3/8"-thick Acrylic painted ivory and stud-mounted into the backer. We did the image area like this:
The full image was mounted to the 1/8"-thick Black Acrylic that is behind the main panel. A piece of 1/8"-thick Clear Acrylic was laid over that with only the middle and fore-ground of the image mounted to it. Finally, a piece of 1/4"-thick Non-Glare Clear Acrylic was laid over that with only the fore-ground of theimage mounted to it. When you view it in person you perceive the depth.
